Statistics for the Grand National 2000
Animal rights activists might start protesting at the Aintree Racecourse after the fifth horse was killed jumping over a fence at the Grand National. A horse called Toni’s Tip crashed at the fence the John Hughes Chase, bringing the total number of deaths at the grand national to five over the two days so far. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) are stationed at every post in the big race. After four horses were killed on Thursday, animal rights activists insisted that the Grand National was boycotted. But the race played on and another one was killed unfortunately.
