My husband is notoriously hard to buy gifts for.  He is a sportsman, but has been buying sports gear for so long that he has one of everything, at least.  I’ve developed the habit of paying close attention to the little things he says, so I can get a clue as to what he wants each year.  Last year I was at my wits end until I realized he had become a huge fan of European football.  All year he talked about the teams and seem especially excited about a Scottish team.  I went online and found him a Scotland Retro Football Shirt and he was dazzled on his birthday.  I don’t know what impressed him more, the shirt or the fact that I knew he wanted it.
