Sometimes, an IRS audit can be a blessing. Take a simple businessman, Joe. He was so scared of the IRS so he never claimed any tax deductions or tax credit. Joe wanted his tax return to be as simple and straight forward as possible.

He wanted to pay the IRS anything that he could possibly pay so that the IRS will have no reason at all whatsoever to audit him.

However, he got a letter from the IRS anyway saying that he was to be audited. Joe was nervous but gathered everything he could possibly find and went to the audit with the IRS. The IRS agent looked through all of Joe’s documents and found that they owe Joe over $10,000 because Joe never claimed any deductions or credit.
