As the speed of the internet increases it is becoming more and more viable to use the internet as a major distribution system for video, audio, and web TV, and it won’t be long before wireless access is everywhere and free, or at least part of your home broadband package. So imagine if there were no bandwidth limitations on the internet, Broadcasters could use the internet to send TV programs or scheduled TV stations to us, no more cable TV or satellite TV - there would be no need. The possibilities are endless and there is no doubt that this is the way it will end up in years to come, and you can envisage a future where most people will also store all their movie collections, music collections, photos and even their recordings of their favourite TV shows online.
