I am so lucky that both me and my husband do not have diabetes, nor our respective families.  So it somehow makes me glad that my child will not develop and become into a Type 2 Diabetes Child.  Causes of this type of diabetes are the following: overweight (my child is overweight), family history of diabetes (nay!), female gender, specific ethnic groups such as Asians, and somebody who has insulin resistance.  However once the child is overweight, having him or her develop type 2 is a big possibility.  So I am thinking of lessening my child’s food intake.
